Practical Intelligence (IP) is a measure designed to complement and strengthen the processes of selection in media offices, administrative technical and operational, it is the inference skills, analytics and evaluate the situations that occur in everyday life. 

Practical intelligence is NOT an assessment of IQ. IQ assessments are correlated with academic success, we can say that Practical Intelligence is a tool to measure and identify candidates with greater cognitive ability, those who stand against the others thanks to the right decisions they make in the everyday workplace, where many answers apply to a particular situation, but only some are perceived and presented as the best.

This Competency Practice is comprised by four basic competencies:

• Interpretative Competency

• Evaluative ability

Inference ability 

It is the ability to speculate, to infer information, relationships or conclusions based on elements not evident at first glance.

 

Analytical ability

It is the competency to identify the central theme, concepts, arguments, and links the different parts of a dialogue or text. 

Interpretative competency

It is the ability to understand and express the meaning of an expression or set of expressions in the context of the situation which arises. 

Evaluative competency

The ability to establish credibility of a statement or conclusion based on facts, arguments, explanations or objections that occur during exposure.
